Visualizing GPU Architecture & Parallel Computing CUDA, AI Acceleration | Samsung R&D Bangalore
I'm Varun Rao, a software engineer focused on AI, computer vision, and GPU programming & 6G technology. I also focus on building sustainable careers in a changing world by being a thoughtful career planner. Over the past decade, I've built real-world systems that bring deep learning models to life — from optimizing YOLO and UNET for surgical tools at Leica and Beckman Coulter, to deploying NLP and AI pipelines at scale within IBM's enterprise and mainframe ecosystems; then recently working at Samsung in cutting edge 6G algorithm development focusing on improving throughput. My work bridges research and production, with hands-on experience across C++, CUDA, and hardware acceleration. At LG, I brought deep learning to mobile hardware using TensorFlow Lite and C++, contributing to features like AI-based portrait enhancement and motion blur. I've also built core systems in embedded environments — drivers, automation, and edge AI. Across roles, I focus on performance, scalability, and clean system design. Whether it's building for NVIDIA GPUs, IBM mainframes, or Snapdragon SoCs, I enjoy solving hard problems and making AI work where it matters.
